“It’s [dyslexia] a gift and don’t let anyone tell you that because you struggle with dyslexia, you’ll never make it in life because it’s simply not true.” ~ Orlando Bloom
Children with dyslexia often have emotional issues because of the frustration they experience from not being able to read and perform other literacy activities efficiently.
Literacy activities like reading, writing, and spelling, require more attention, brainpower, and focus for children with dyslexia. Usually, reading is difficult for them. Everything they have to do all day is profoundly challenging.
It’s hard to imagine what it’s like for children who have dyslexia. Not only do they have difficulty reading, but also focusing on things can be an uphill battle. Dyslexics often feel overwhelmed by the simplest tasks, so it is no wonder that paying sustained attention in school is difficult.
